Over the last week, we have been thrilled to watch our first five students of the year arrive. Flying from China and Mexico, these students are spread out across Missouri, Tennessee, Florida, and Kansas. They’re already experiencing so many new things, and they still have the whole school year ahead of them! While we think of all the firsts they are going through right now, we can’t help but think about our final five students who are still looking for host families, so read on to find out how you can get matched today.
Bo loves meeting new people and can’t wait to make his first American friend. Barton dreams of being an engineer and is looking forward to his first physics class in America. Harry loves making models and can’t wait to build something with his host family. David loves volunteering and wants to take every chance he can to volunteer in the US. John is very close with his family and is excited to get to know his American family.
While all of these students are very different, they all want the same thing: to spend a year getting to know what life is like in the United States. Your family could be the one to take them to their first baseball game, help them study for their first US History exam, and get ready for their first high school prom! While you’re helping a student have the year of a lifetime, you just might experience one yourself.
Becoming a host family is easier than ever! Simply fill out a host family application, and a program coordinator will be in touch with you to match you with a student. The application is not binding, so you have nothing to lose. Time is running out to get the experience of a lifetime – apply today!
