We nicknamed John “the gamer” because he loves playing all sorts of games – his favorites are badminton and the League of Legends video game. He is hoping that a year in the United States will help him to be more outgoing and less shy around people he does not know.
John, like many of our students, has been to the US before. When he was younger, he got the opportunity to attend an American summer camp. This short experience left a lasting impression on him – which is why he can’t wait to spend a whole year here. When we first talked to John, he was quite shy and soft spoken. He slowly came out of his shell, but he really shined when his little sister peeked onto the screen. It immediately became clear that John loves making the people around him happy. The smile on his face as he watched his little sister laugh was priceless, and only matched by his smile in the photos where he is surrounded by friends and family.
John is one of 5 young men who are still looking for a host family this school year. They are all smart, talented, and can’t wait to become a part of your family! They’re looking forward to going to their first baseball game, teaching you their favorite Chinese dishes, and learning what it’s like to live in the United States. All you have to to do learn more about them is fill out our short Host Family Application. We can’t wait to tell your SAE Story!
Due to Department of State regulations, we are unable to share photos of students publicly until they have been matched with a host family and enrolled for the upcoming school year. For more information on John, or any of our other students, contact us at (512) 323-9595 ext. 3061 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
